Cocoa and Kit Kat -bonded pair's story
Hi there! We're Cocoa and Kit Kat, and we're a bonded pair of cats who are like mother and son, although we're not related. Cocoa is a tortie/ Seal Point Siamese DSH mix gal who was born in February 2017, and Kit Kat is a black DSH/ Bombay mix fella who was born in September 2018.
Cocoa says, "I was a timid stray for 3 months before my rescuer won my confidence and brought me into his home. I was skeptical at first, but his patience has paid off, and I now adore him. He carries me around the house, plays with me, and has a warm, comfy lap for me to snuggle in when he's sitting in his lounge chair. (I still haven't warmed up yet to his wife.)
"He tried to socialize me with his four senior cats, but it was slow going because I was afraid of them. Things really changed, however, when he rescued Kit Kat, a 2-week-old orphan black kitten who had to be bottle fed. Kit Kat kicked in my motherly instincts, and I helped raise him and certainly helped groom him like his mom would have."
Kit Kat says, "I'm sweet-as-the-candybar, fearless, inquisitive, playful, and independent. I'm a happy, outgoing kitten who thinks everything is new and exciting. I've got the Bombay mix's sleek, shiny patent-leather coat that's soft as a mink's fur, plus my large copper-penny eyes will astound you!
"I was rescued at two weeks old by a kind couple who bottle fed me, so I'm glad to be alive! In return, I ended up being a God-send to Cocoa, a timid Siamese mix adult female who had previously been rescued by this couple."
We've become best buddies, play together, and sleep together. We love to chase each other through a 3-way tube tunnel. We scramble around together on the cat trees, and when we're exhausted, we take a cat nap in one of the cubbies.
Kit Kat has certainly helped Cocoa blossom by bringing out her playfulness and subduing her timidity! Because we're so bonded and because Cocoa needs Kit Kat, our foster family is insisting that we be adopted together. As much as we like it here in our foster home, we know it's best for us to have a home of our very own and separate from the 4 senior resident cats. We hope you'll arrange to meet us today!
Cocoa and Kit Kat are updated on shots, spayed/ neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for their indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Their adoption fee is $200 for the bonded pair, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Cocoa and Kit Kat, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet them.
To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, submit the online cat adoption application at /cat-adoption-application.
