We are pleased to offer such an important example of Porsche 911 history. Presented here is one of the oldest remaining 911Ses in the world, of which very few early examples endure today. The car was originally sold on the 13th of November 1966 through PC Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida finished in Sand Beige paintwork over beige leatherette upholstery. Accompanying vintage Pink Slip, photographs and several servicing records indicate the Porsche spent most of the 1980s and 90s in California, ultimately residing in San Francisco well into the late 1990s. In August 1999 the car was imported to the United Kingdom and purchased by a Mr. D Bonner of St James, London later that year. A healthy file of servicing archives from the 1980s show the car was regularly maintained while under the care of a Mr. Okomoto, including a comprehensive mechanical rebuild in 1985. At this time they upgraded the power plant with 2.2S pistons and cylinders, rods and cams among other necessities. The Porsches next major and largest restoration was performed while residing in the UK in the early 2000s. The S was sent to renowned GantSpeed Engineering in Lincolnshire to receive a sympathetic restoration over the following 18 months. The numbers-matching motor and transmission was rebuilt by Chris Sargent at GCR Central including the original Webers, the suspension and brakes were completely refreshed and the undercarriage was properly Wazoyled by Autofarm. Invoices for Gantspeed alone total over $45,000. Driven and enjoyed for years preceding the restoration, 305360S made its way to Germany in 2010. In early 2012, the car was purchased by a Costa Mesa restoration shop and returned back to California. Once back in the States, the S was completely sorted and inspected. At that time it was decided to reupholster the interior - correct and original 1966 911 seats were refurbished by Autos International along with new door, rear and quarter panels finished in black leatherette and OEM houndstooth (black-beige) material.
