General Position Summary
 
This position is responsible to operate all cranes at TAC and in TAC inventory, and to perform all operator level inspections on all cranes in TAC inventory.  Must have all licenses, including   national certification to operate a crane - National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).  Please read entire position description and requirements prior to submitting a qualifying resume.
 
Essential Job Functions:
 
Performs all operator level maintenance on TAC inventory; such as check on arrival, check in storage, pre-delivery, washing; at port, at our storage vendor site, and at TAC.
Installs attachments appropriate to operator level skills performs periodic maintenance appropriate to crane operator and/or crane oiler.
Reports all malfunctions and damage promptly and using appropriate forms in accordance with TAC policies.
Performs operational tests of repaired cranes at TAC shop.
Provides technical direction guidance and support to customers/dealers for service orders and crane issues via phones/emails.
Completes necessary paperwork.
Performs shop maintenance, including shop cleanup and organization as needed to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient work environment.
Maintains all his assigned TAC property for accountability and serviceability.

May perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.
Maintains good communication with other managers, staff & outside contacts.
Complies with all company policies and procedures; as well as all associated crane safety and OSHA regulations
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Education and Work Experience:  Third party crane operator competency certification from a third party crane operation training entity, such as 2 or more years of experience. Some experience operating rough terrain crane and  5 axle or larger All Terrain mobile hydraulic crane.
 
Required Job Related Certificates/ Licenses:  Crane Operator Certification, Forklift Operator Certification, Overheard Crane Operator Certification, Driver License, TWIC card, Passport.  Must have a national certification to operate a crane - National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO)
 
 
Work Environment and Physical Demand:  Work is typically performed in a machine shop environment with loud noises.  The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms.  Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
 
Physical Sight:  Close, Distant, Color, Peripheral, Depth visions with ability to adjust focus are required.
